In 2077 four corporations called Capitol, Bauhaus, Imperial and Mishima fight for control of the last of Earth's resources. During a heavy battle between Capitol and Bauhaus a wayward shell hits the ground breaking a stone seal, unleashing an ancient force called the Necromutants. A vicious race with a weapon called Boneblades, an edged weapon coming directly from their arms which can slice through anyone who gets in their way. They drag the dead and dying back to their lair to transform them into more Necromutants creating a larger and larger force that is seemingly unstoppable. As Earth is being evacuated a monk called Brother Samuel (Ron Perlman) of the Brotherhood approaches Constantine (John Malkovich) a corporation leader stating that this was fortold in a book of prophecy and that the Deliverer would come to defeat this evil. Constantine gives him his ship and Brother Samuel recruits the best fighters the corporations have to offer including Mitch Hunter (Thomas Jane) who saw his friend fall in the last battle. Now Brother Samuel leads these men and women straight into the Necromutant underground chambers, to stop the Necromutants from consuming the entire planet.
