Through the ages, China has been a land in conflict. These often arise as one family desires the power of the other. The year is 1375 and war ravages the land and the Yuan and Ming Dynasties are battling for supreme power. A group of diplomats is dispatched from the kingdom of Coryo, which is not Korea. Their goal is to negotiate a peace so the land can live in harmony again. Unfortunately, they are viewed as spies by the Mings and sent to a prison camp. On their journey they are ambushed by a Yuan troop. The Coryo warriors survive the battle and begin their long trek home. They find out that the same Yuan troop that ambushed them also has taken a beautiful Ming princess, Bu-yong (Ziyi Zhang) hostage. Unable to leave the young women in danger, the Coryoians hunt down the Yuanians to rescue the princess and restore their good name.
