The film begins with Ripley, Newt, Hicks, and the droid Bishop aboard their escape vessel that they boarded in Aliens. The ship crashes on a prison colony planet, killing Hicks, Newt, and destroying Bishop. Ripley is revived from chryo-sleep by the prison crew and discovers that she is the only survivor from the escape pod. After calling the Company for assistance, they wait for Ripley to leave the planet as she is creating tension among the inhabitants. After awhile, Ripley begins to discover dead prisoners that have been killed in a similar manner to the others killed by the aliens in the previous films. Once this is discovered, Ripley and the other prisoners must figure out a way to kill the alien in the ventilation shafts. However, they soon find that there is more than one alien on the planet…
